A stacked surface, not a shadow
Cards float on subtle teal-tinted surface lifts rather than using elevation, so the hierarchy reads as depth-of-water rather than shadow-on-paper. Liquid Deep sinks, Liquid Abyss is the canvas, Liquid Kelp lifts.

AUROS
A near-black teal canvas with bioluminescent data orbs and teal-to-pink light gradients. The interface is sparse and cinematic, relying on a single display face at medium weight with aggressive negative tracking to create scale without shouting.

The system
Six decisions carry the whole interface. Hold all six and a screen belongs; drop one and the atmosphere goes with it.
Cards float on subtle teal-tinted surface lifts rather than using elevation, so the hierarchy reads as depth-of-water rather than shadow-on-paper. Liquid Deep sinks, Liquid Abyss is the canvas, Liquid Kelp lifts.
Achromatic whites and silvers carry almost all content. The chromatic palette is reserved for atmospheric gradients, card surface differentiation, and one signature pill button that morphs from teal-cyan to lavender-pink.
Matter at weight 500 for all headings and oversized kinetic text, weight 400 for body and UI copy. No bold, no light — the medium-only strategy is the uniform mechanical confidence of the type.
Uppercase tracking from 0.08em to 0.15em on every section label, kicker and eyebrow at 10 to 20px. Wide tracking is signature: it reads as technical instrumentation labeling.
Cards at 16px, small elements and buttons at 6px. These two values are the complete shape vocabulary — sharp-rounded, never pill-shaped.
Thin geometric arrow icons, 32×32 square triggers, recessed wells with generous vertical padding, and large numerical stats in pale pink against the dark canvas.
Method
Each step is a rule from the system rather than a preference.
01
Start full-bleed on Liquid Abyss #012624 and contain content to a 1440px max-width, with sections separated by 68px or more.
02
Lift cards onto Liquid Kelp #003734 and sink footers and deep panels into Liquid Deep #011d1c. Differentiation comes from surface color shifts, never from shadow.
03
Headings in Matter weight 500 with line-height 1.0 above 36px, body at 16px with line-height 1.4. The contrast between the two defines the typographic rhythm.
04
Uppercase every section label, kicker and eyebrow at 10 to 20px and open the tracking to between 0.08em and 0.15em.
05
One gradient button per section, lavender-phosphor pink reserved for large statistics and emphasis figures, and nothing outside the liquid teal scale, the silver neutrals and that accent.
The atmosphere
Auros operates as an abyssal fintech terminal: a near-black teal canvas with bioluminescent data orbs and teal-to-pink light gradients that suggest depth, liquidity and flow. The interface is sparse and cinematic, and scale is created with tracking rather than volume.
Cards float on subtle teal-tinted surface lifts at a 16px radius with no shadows, so hierarchy reads as depth in water. Sections are full-width bands separated by generous vertical gaps, alternating between canvas and slightly recessed surfaces, and the footer is a recessed well with 120px of vertical padding — a deep pool at the bottom of the page.
Abyss, deep and kelp are the only three grounds a screen may stand on.
Gradients and pink figures appear rarely, and land harder for it.
Spacious rhythm makes the descent down the page part of the metaphor.
Signature moments
Four treatments do most of the identifying work. Everything else is canvas, surface and tracked type.
A 3D particle sphere rendered in teal-cyan and white dots, rotating in the hero or a section transition. The particles pick up the canvas teal and the accent pink, creating a bioluminescent data orb effect.
The aurora gradient sweeps horizontally from cyan through white into pink behind dark text at 14px, uppercase, on a 6px radius. It is the brand's signature chromatic gesture and it appears once per section.
A large number in lavender-phosphor #fde9ff with a tracked uppercase label below it in mist. The pink-on-teal combination is the signature emphasis treatment: statistics glow against the dark canvas.
White circles and thin connector lines forming an abstract molecular diagram, used as a right-column balancing element. No fill complexity, no photography, no people.
